When you enter the store you see ahead of you a long counter filled with dozens of trays like those shown below. From these you can make up your own assortment of chocolates. All the fillings are from family recipes, all chocolates are hand-dipped on the premises. (Old fashioned hand dipping allows for a thicker layer of chocolate.)

Hand-dipped chocolates, moulded bars, fudge and peanut brittle are all made fresh and stocked year round. Other candies, including fine diabetic chocolates, and gift items are also stocked. Open 7 days. Buses are welcome.

Directions
From exit 20 on the Thruway, take Route 212/32 East. Go through the Village of Saugerties, Krause's is on your left a block or two on (near a wonderful old fashioned carousel).
